This is not a "how" question, more of a "WTF" question
I got some redscale processed. I usually just get negs but forgot to mention that this time so I got a CD and prints. The CD and prints were insanely red. OK I know I am shooting redscale, so I know I should expect a red tint! But the REDNESS of these was rather unusual as I was shooting this at such a low ISO that other colours should be present as well.
As it came off the CD:
Applying the "Auto Colour" in Photoshop:
So I scanned them on the Espon, using both the Espon and the Silverfast software, WITHOUT ANY COLOUR CORRECTION, and they came our exactly how I was expecting them to:
Silverfast:
Epson:
SO WHAT IS THE QUESTION AND WHY AM I COMPLAINING THAT MY SCANNER IS SCANNING IMAGES THAT MAKE ME HAPPY?
I just am startled that the Noritsu scanner would be seeing them as SO RED. Any ideas? One that I have is that film is upsidedown in the Noritsu scanner as the emulsion is flipped in redscale film and this could be kicking is 'auto' colour adjustment out of whack. Any other ideas???
