Just got home laden with "stuff". Great turnout by the FW team, by the way. Unfortunately, although Ordinal was in the pub, I didn't get the message he sent me (good old "3" network strikes again) until we were on the train at Liverpool Street. Sorry, mate
Not as much in the way of "Saga Louts" in attendance this year (thankfully) - or maybe we were just better prepared. That said, Paul Mitchell had a bit of a run-in with some arsey stall holder and there were a number of announcements over the PA system that there'd been pick-pocket incidents reported, so "hold on to your belongings". As we were leaving, Lara overheard one stall holder talking about "losing £800". Whether that was in pilfered stock or in hard cash, we don't know. Bad business all round.
Thil, Sandeha, Paul Mitchell and I took some photos. Paul Mitchell took some video footage. Miller got a couple of cracking bargains but had to leave "pre-pub" to attend to urgent progeny cycling overseeing responsibilities.
Silverprint / Ilford were "giving it large" (as they say down here) with the new Obscura. More about that from Paul Mitchell, I'm sure. Looks good and seemed to be selling well.
On a personal note, I managed to score a book I've been after for YEARS (Don McCullin's "India") and one I'd never heard of (Richard Gere's "Pilgrim" - yes,
THAT Richard Gere). I also managed to get my mitts on a Lee Big Stopper. So, no reason for me not do shoot milky seascapes anymore....
Glasses were raised to absent Moderators. Always next year, lads......
A great time - and some bargains - was had by all.
