I do think that completely S&P.

Lets try and keep things film based on the forum though.  Whilst we don't want digi content here, we also don't want to get into the world of digi bashing either.

Yeah well I'm not happy about it.   Perhaps I missed the message in the middle but I've just tried it with my digital slr, a couple of nice lenses and a box brownie and all I got was a pile of bits and a broken blender.  Damn these TV chefs  >:(

Does that include the Camedia C-211 ?
It did allow you to print your images on Polaroid film (I can't remember if it was 600 or Spectra)

I can already see myself slightly bending the rules just to make Leon smile ;)

By the way... is it just me or the Olympus was one heck of an ugly camera?

I have one of the older, smaller, Polaroid Zink printers, but I only use it to print images from film. Is that equally awkward?

when i first made this thread, i hadn't read the specs on it. i didnt know if it took a mixture of film and sd card or what. after going on the polaroid website, i guess it takes some kind of special paper that prints. 25 prints per charge is kind of discouraging though.

People forget that all the electronics stuff we have nowadays are in essence small computers... and they take a lot of energy.

And when you think about the Zink and do a bit of research on it, you realize it's in fact an advanced thermal printer... just like the modern cash registers and old fax machines but only in color. Just the fact that you have a series of small heating elements in the machine basically makes low power consumption impossible.

i hadn't thought of it that way before.. makes sense.

this will probably be like the iphone for me where it will grow on me over time. i thought it was stupid to buy one when i already had a cell phone and an ipod but now i think otherwise.

Just as a side note, not digital or film related but photographer related. The guy in the video is Chase Jarvis and I highly recommend his show, Chase Jarvis Live. Very, very helpful info for photographers.

i guess i would consider this a "film" camera, since it prints out shots chemically. i don't want one, though.
