Topic: film for a polaroid 440?

a friend of mine just picked up a polaroid 440 at a flea market. he said it uses 107 or 108 film both which i believe have been discontinued. are there other films it can use? according to this site it can use 669 among others, but wanted to double check before giving my friend advice.

Yes, it use polaroid 66x series film.

Yes; 664, 667, 669, 665 (if the friend can find any on ebay or anywhere else at a reasonable price - the P/N films are the BEST instant films!) and the Fuji peel apart films such as FP-100C - beautiful crisp colour without the blue tint that the Polaroid colour films seem to have.

(But, if you want smooth, with accurate colors, then FP-100C is a great film...)

Skorj,thanks very much for that link - I heard of the camera just once before but didn't realise it was for packfilm.  It looks beautiful and takes a beautiful picture, going by the example.

I should of course have also mentioned type 672.  I have not used that film myself yet but hope to try it out soon.  Typhoon
