Kodak film production doubles over last 4 years
« on: January 13, 2020, 09:44:39 AM »
Not sure if this story from KosmoFoto, with a nice little video about young people driving the resurgence of film, has been posted here yet

I can vouch for them having trouble keeping up with demand. Tri-X 120 was out of stock for a while at one of NYC's superstores late last year.

Wow! I must say I'm quite happy for Kodak.
If it were only for the province of Quebec they definitely wouldn't make it. People here are still mesmerized by the allure of LCD screens and high megapixel counts. Though I must say that the people here have always loved showing off their wealth through their belongings.

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

My local shops carry more and film all the time.  I see more film cameras on the street all the time.  Hopefully this bodes well for the future.

That was a rather lovely film, thank you.

I'm a member of a darkroom co-operative, The Gate Darkroom in SE London. I'm in my 50's and generally a good twenty or more years older than many of the other users.

Film and analogue processes are very much alive.
