Fuji Acros II pricing
« on: January 10, 2020, 09:40:16 PM »
The good folks at Freestyle sent out a note with pricing for the new Fuji Acros II: (US) $12/roll for 120 or 35mm/36xp. Ahem, cough, cough. If memory serves, that's roughly the same as the most recent pricing for Fujicolor NPH 400 Pro color negative. I'm not sure what the marketing strategy is, unless this is Japan domestic market stock coming to the US early and there's a plan to increase quantity/reduce pricing into the competitive range over time.

I truly don't know. All I know is that the new neopan sports the made in the UK label. So I guess that the price has more to do with either greed or brexit than anything else.

Looking at some reviews for other films, seems that a good, cheaper, alternative to Neopan Acros (version I), is the Ultrafine 100 film. Might pick some of that instead. I just saw the price of a propack of E100 in 120 (from B&H)... $70...
