Topic: New/ Kodak film camera

I just bought one of these in minty green....will have a review with photos sometime later.

It certainly looks identical to the recently introduced Harman Reusable Camera, only in a more colourful plastic!

I wonder if any of them will have that magical Vivitar plastic lens?

Oh dear, a bit steep on the price. These can’t be that much more complex than single use cameras so why three times (or more) the price. If this is to promote an introduction to film, then why put up a barrier right out of the gate.

With the Harman one you get two free rolls of Kentmere. Did think of picking one up but they're not out until some time next month.

Also, reusable counts as more environmentally friendly than 'disposable' where plastics are concerned, though I gather Harman do some recycling and reuse of the ones they get back for processing.

Well... with these new models it's a win win situation for them. Since they don't take cameras back anymore they don't have to set-up a recycling process.
This is something I never quite got with the disposable cameras. Why make them disposable when it's so easy to make them reusable?

It’s obvious that I haven’t been paying attention to prices of single use cameras. They’ve gone up quite a bit so these aren’t so outrageous. I’ve several plastic reloadable 35’s that were picked up in places like Value Village, usually now for $2 to $3. Even found a Vivitar Slim & Wide.

I think the price is a bit steep too, but film prices have climbed and disposables are more costly than they one were....
At any rate i splurged just to see how it works out....plus it was purchased in a fit of insomnia one night which explains some of my madness. 
I haven't received it yet since it's coming direct from China, but hope it arrives before my trip to California.

blister packaged, no frills.
Taking it on a little adventure later this week.

Tri-x is always a good choice in my book. Especially if the camera requires 400 film for daylight.
