My new 1969 (I think) Mamiya C220 with 55mm 4.5 / Portra 400. From the initial test roll. My friend commented on the glowing highlights... The lens is known to flare with its single-coated lens, but the lens wasn't exposed to direct light. I still think there might be some light bouncing going on inside -- 9 elements, 7 groups.

I actually kind of like the effect, but I got a lens hood anyway.

Two 4x5 shots this week, taken last week.

The first with my 200mm pinfilm distance Neretta 200 - that I actually made in 2003, but hardly used at the time. This is on Fomapan 200. Speed - 10 seconds.

And this one taken on Wephota NP15 with the Neretta Rail camera that I made in 2012 with its 135/4.5 Zeiss Tessar from around 1929. Speed - /10

Both taken on around the same stretch of rocky water near the source of the River Tawe in South Wales.

My first outing with the Intrepid 8x10 and development with the CatLabs CL-81! Not a perfect outcome by any means, but I learned a lot for next time. Barnyard Foxtails along the coast.

I actually like the glow of the Mamiya. Also, great shots everyone!

I have two completely unrelated pictures albeit they were shot with the same camera (Canon F-1) on the same roll of film (Rollei Retro 80S, dev'ed in Caffenol-C-H (RS)):

A nice late start to the weekend well done from everyone
I adapted my redundant Polaroid 110b to shoot 5x4 sheet film, although I cant get full coverage of the sheet - I'm getting 4.5" x 3.5". I'm fairly happy with it once I eliminate a light leak which is fortunately outside the frame but still pretty annoying.

Great start everyone! Love the "accidental" glow on that Mamiya shot.

Here are a couple of shots using the Bronica. Tmax 400 pushed one stop, developed in F76+ for 10 minutes, one agitation every other minute.

I've developed some E6 this morning but it's still drying. In the meantime here's one on Pan F in a Rollei B35, taken on a cycle ride last week.

I had a similar glow/haze on my Yashica Mat, and it turned out to be haze on the inner lens element (very simple lens, only 2 elements in one group IIRC). I cleaned it with cerium oxide and liked it much better, but I was 100% ready to embrace the haze and use it for fake soft focus portraits :)

I'm going to take a closer look with a 🔦 but the lens looks very clean. Also, no visible oil on the aperture or shutter blades...

I recently shot my last roll of Fuji Reala Ace. Everything has an end.

I'm a bit late, but it's so rare I have anything new to post I didn't want to miss the opportunity. These shot in Berlin with my OM1 and Tri-x.

I've been experimenting with this new citric acid + hydrogen peroxide reversal process. 5"x4" direct positive print made on Freestyle Photo's Arista RC grade 2 semi-matte paper. Exposure: 45 seconds @ f/5.6, indirect daylight, metered ISO 3 + 3.5 stops (yes, it's a slow process, needs much more exposure than for a paper negative on the same paper).

Owl, Citric Acid + H2O2 Reversal Process, Fujinon 135mm @ F/5.6, 45 second exposure, 4x5 format Arista RC grade 2 paper by Joe Van Cleave, on Flickr

The process:
2:00 development, used paper developer
:30 rinse
1:00 citric acid (4 teaspoons to 500mL water) face down
1:00 35% H2O2 face down
1:00 repeat the citric acid bath face down
1:00 repeat the H2O2 bath face down
:30 rinse
:20 second exposure, ~12" from a 100 watt bulb
2:00 second development
Rinse
5:00 selenium toner
Archival rinse

Many thanks for the process details, Joe.  I'm planning to try this soon.

You really should. It's massively fun, especially when you clear the negative face up.
