Topic: Time for a fourth "annual" NYC area "Hey I'm Walkin' Here!" meetup?

I haven't done a proper photowalk in quite a long time, but I did a slightly improper photowalk yesterday with our very own LA Nolan. He suggested we resurrect the old "hey I'm walkin' here" NYC area Filmwasters meetup, and I completely agree. We have a couple of new potential participants (Miguel and Jeff), but I haven't seen Andrej or Leonore around these parts lately. I believe I have their emails so I can contact them that way.

All that being said, do we have support and participation for such a venture? Generally I'm available most weekends this summer except for a few weddings here and there, but I'm sure we'll be able to find a mutually acceptable date. What say you all?

Excellent! I heard from Andrej and he's in. He said he hasn't been shooting recently (been concentrating on restoring old cars), which explains his absence here.

So we got LA, Jeff, Andrej, and me. Anyone else? Peter? Miguel? This can be in the city or somewhere outside the city (Andrej and Leonore are slightly up the Hudson, but since Miguel and Jeff are in the opposite direction, maybe somewhere south of the city? Jersey shore? Any good, easy hiking between NYC & Philly?)

Hi Blaxton, would love to meet you, but I think we're aiming for a summer walk because Andrej and Leonore teach during the school season. And I personally love hot weather 

We could always do another photowalk when you're back on the continent!

LA helped come up with a bunch of possible locations for our Hey I'm Walkin' walk. Let's vote and decide on the location, then we'll come up with a date! These locations are all in NYC, if anyone has any suggestions outside of the city, please feel free to add them, keeping in mind that most of the respondents live in the city or Philly (with the notable exception of Andrej in Beacon-ish).

Flushing-Meadow Corona Park / Unisphere
Roosevelt Island / Tram
Jackson Heights
The Highline
Astoria Park
Gantry Plaza Park

Everything on the list looks good to me Satish, with the exception of the Highline which I've seen a bit too much of recently.

I've never been to Jackson Heights and it looks photo ready!
Roosevelt island looks pretty sweet too.
