Gem of a Cyanotype book
« on: May 07, 2019, 07:42:59 PM »
There actually is a mention of Mike Ware's site in a thread about alternative processes, however, I specifically wanted to point you all to his new edition of the Cyanomicon which was not available when Mike's site was mentioned (thanks to the great crew at the Sunny 16 Podcast for pointing the Cyanomicon out). It's such a brilliant book and I can't believe that it's free. Have a look at it here (caution, it's a really huge download!):

Make sure to look at the rest of Mike's site, too. It's such a fantastic resource for alternative photographic processes.

Thanks for the link!
I'm sure going to have something to read... too bad it's so big as I like printed books better... but still.

And there's tons of other downloads here

Prussian blue cures radioactive cesium poisoning in mammals! I wonder if it can also be used as a non-radioactive Xray  ???

I've seen those pre-treated cyanotype fabric sheets and wondered how they hold up over time (like if you made a quilt of them).

They should be quite stable. Probably more than a lot of other processes.
