I just finished reading this "biography" of W. Eugene Smith. It's not a traditional biography, more a collection of the recollections and back stories of people who knew Smith, people affected by him. It's a slim volume but quite expansive. Here's a piece from the author. The book is very much in the style of this piece. I liked it quite a lot.
