Skorj: Important Announcement

I've just eaten a plateful of mini-pancakes smothered in Tate & Lyle golden syrup.

Thought you'd want to be told.

Do you always smother yourself in Tate & Lyle golden syrup when you eat pancakes?

seems the seediness is spreading.......

I wore my Filmwasters t-shirt over the syrup to ensure I was keeping it real.

I declare a Filmwasters Crumpet survey:

Part one - presentation

1: Crispy and brown?

or

2: Just toasted and soft on the inside?

Part2 - toppings

Jam?

Just Butter?

other weird twisted topping???

whos wasting bandwidth now  ;D

Nope, just sweet and sexy crumpets...

That's a big help isn't it?

Here, we have English muffins, hot and toasty.

I don't think that Wikipedia's English muffin article is entirely accurate ... but on the plus side their page on crumpets (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crumpet) has fine pictures of both a buttered crumpet and "A Scottish fruit crumpet folded over, behind a Scotch pancake", as well as a history of the phrase "thinking man's crumpet". Take that Encyclopedia Brittanica!

in reply to Sausage:-

I like a crumpet to be warm, soft, well buttered and a good spread of Marmite on top.

Where's Finbarr Saunders when you need him ... (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finbarr_Saunders - this link has a VERY pertinent example of Finbarr at his finest at the beginning)
