This guy built his own Ultra Large Format 16x20 view camera, and it's really beautiful!

Just looking at the pictures makes me feel like my own workmanship is so shoddy...

Just think of how much money you save by not investing in the costly equipment it would take to make something like that.

Just imagine the scene at home:
-Honey, I need a Bridgeport end mill to make myself a new camera.
-Is it going to take up a lot of space in the garage?
-On, not really. Only about 2 meters by 2 meters. Do you think the concrete is strong enough to hold a 2 ton machine?

I do 4x5 tintypes...I cant imagine how difficult it would be to get even results manuevering a 16x20 tin or glass plate.   My hat's off to thks fellow doing 16x20.  A few of my tins including a sefie or yours truly

Fuzzy: Pretty darn good when you consider how hard it really is to evenly coat the plate without any uneven spots...
