Same old boring stuff...
« on: November 25, 2007, 10:42:32 AM »
Another weekend, another abandoned US Air Station, more wasted Polaroid film. This one on the old apartments used by the US Air Force when they established the post-WW2 radar and intelligence station - now overtaken by the trees and vines. Much equipment still remains, including some now dormant satellite dishes...

It's hard to tell, but I'm guessing that the vines/trees on the right are growing over the abandonded apartment buildings you mentioned?

Fun to see there are abandoned places like this with big satellite dish!
Looks like something out of Star Wars :)

We have a similar base near my home... only it's still in use and they have big beefy guards :( that enforce the no photo rule...

Well, I don't blame them, it's the control center for the International Space Station :)

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

Yes. I was trying too hard for the overgrown look! This is what it really looks like...
