Nice start, Kai. I like the way that the Fomapan 100 looks in Xtol. Here's some Fomapan in Caffenol-C-H (RS):

Very nice start! Kai, I really like the second shot. Cs1, your first show is lovely.

I'll probably run my first test of prints this weekend, a la ghetto.

Here's a shot from my archives:

Both shot with a Leica IIIf using expired Panatomic-X developed in beer.  The first was a Summitar 5cm lens and the second was a Summaron 3.5cm lens.

Happy Weekend to you all. I never dared to push film to 1600 and add a red filter, but I quite like the high contrast  :)
Also love Kai's shadow, CS1's fern and Bryan's architectural shot.

I have not had much time lately for taking pictures. These are 2 snaps from one of my last outings with the Contax T2 and Kodak Tmax 400.

Kai I like both of your images quite a lot. And Becky is busy with the dreamy pinholes too, which makes for a pleasant Friday.

Happy weekend everyone,

Jeff

Jeff, your pictures of the dancers are getting better and better. Really love the dynamic feel and the details that are still visible.

Thanks Manuel, I appreciate it. It's different from anything I've done before and I'm enjoying the learning process.

Thanks CS1, Miguel, Manuel and Jeff! I think the Fomapan 100 looks fabulous in Xtol, but your results with Caffenol looks very good too, CS1.

Damn, that print looks amazing, Kevin. And now with Miguel printing too (he already sent me pics of his first prints and they are awesome!), I think I'm going to have to start printing too  ???

I agree, Satish. And I think, Miguel, that your setup proves that you don't need a lot of space so I'm very tempted... Lack of space was the main reason why I haven't started looking into printing.

I finally got some time to run a roll through the Kodak 35 I got through Share the love!
It was about time for me to give it a try.
I'm getting to really like the camera. It's clunky and quirky, the shutter came from the factory as slow as molasses (top speed 1/150) and it's got what has to be one of the strangest advance mechanisms I've seen in a long time. The lens predates multicoating and the aperture has no clicks. The shutter button isn't where it should be and it has an advance knob that you have to pull to rewind, but I still like it.
Apart from a photoflo problem (uneven coating and a squiggly line across all frames), here are results.

Francois, the Kodak 35 sounds just like my Graflex Ciro 35, right down to the pulling up the advance knob to rewind. Definitely an "approximation" camera where you rely heavily on the film's latitude! :D You got some good images out of yours! :D

I must say I was pretty impressed by how well it performed. When you consider that it was made in the 30's and still works fine, this really blew my mind.

You have any shots taken with your Ciro posted somewhere?

Here's a super-old album I posted on the book of faces a while back when I first got it. I don't do a lot of shooting on it because the lens is slow and it has no meter, two things which lazy Satish requires ;)

I must admit that no meter always slows you down.
I can usually deal with a slow lens, just not a dark viewfinder.

It's definitely got the most foolproof split-screen focusing window though. And for its accuracy, I don't mind that you focus through a different window than the viewfinder! :D
