Weekend 16-18 March 2018
« on: March 16, 2018, 05:43:48 PM »
Since no one has done it, here is the weekend thread. Since I've been talking about old Konica lenses lately (see the "I just picked up" thread), here is one from my Konica III.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Another weekend!

Here are two from last weekend in Philly to continue with the color theme, both shot on Velvia 50 (courtesy of EarlJam) and Xpro'd.

More white cold stuff that fell from the sky.  Shot with an Olympus XA using Agfa Radiographic X-Ray film semi stand developed in Rodinal 1:100 for an hour.

In an effort to give the F2 a bit of love, I loaded a roll of Portra at the beginning of the month. Still trying to finish it (sigh), so here's one from the archive.

Mamiya C3, 135/4.5 (I think), and probably Plus X in D-76

On the street in Coimbra, Portugal, last Monday, with an Olympus OM1 and 50mm Zuiko lens, loaded with Ilford Pan F+, that I developed normally in RO9 1:50.

Nice shots everyone.

The following shots where taken in Berlin and on the eastern side of the Harz Mountains. Shot with an Olympus 35RC (love that little camera) on Ilford HP5+ @ EI 800, developed in Caffenol-C-H. Unfortunately there was some heavy fogging in the darker shots but it adds to the spooky atmosphere in the corridor. :)

I just gifted the Polaroid that these photos were taken on to my nephew and niece (those are the two people in the photos who are under 40 years old, in case you were wondering ;) ). My niece took the photo on the left. Unfortunately, they both love the camera! :D I say unfortunately because now I'll have to supply them with endless packs of IP film! ;D

Need to do a lot of cleanup and straightening horizons on the shots I took with my Spotmatic F on Friday (SO MUCH DUST), but I'd also taken the Holga. I'd not used that for years and had rarely used it for colour, so with a roll of Portra 160, I got a few shots I liked.

Fuji FP100C in my new Fuji Fotorama FP-1. Other than the viewfinder sightlines rattling around, camera's in great shape

I made a little winter triptych from the negatives from the Wray Stereographic Sandeha Lynch so kindly sent me. Next step is to print some of them and devise a viewer of some sort. I like this, although I suppose it's a bit of a waste of film. I might find some sort of lens cap and swap "eyes" every frame!

The problem with having a choice of cameras is that it can sometimes take an age to finish/develop a film. Especially when the camera lives in the car's glovebox, and a roll of exposed film can sometimes stay with the camera for months on end...

It's easy to date this photo, from London's Natural History Museum, as Hope the blue whale replaced Dippy the dinosaur as the centrepiece in the Hintze Hall in mid 2017. Factor in the museum closure for refurb, and this pic must be summer 2016, but since I've only recently dev'd and scanned, it feels more current than that...

Here are a few from the Spotmatic F, shot on Fujicolor 200 which Firstcall Photographic are selling for £1.50 a 24 exposure roll so the cheapest I've seen since Poundland's supply dried up.

Love the weekends!
I'm late, but this was taken over the weekend with a little Olympus Trip I recently acquired. It's a cute little camera that just does its thing without much bother at all...

Yes! Especially the girl ... she's quite a prodigy with her phone camera. Though she needs a little practice framing on the SX70 ;) They blew through the 2 packs I brought with me over the weekend, so commence the wallet hemorrhaging!  ;D
