Skorj had a raging fever and was awake at 5AM to join the call...I think that's why he sounds a little more 'BBC' on the netcast than he does in person; I'm guessing he didn't want to wake up the rest of his household with his banter. It was a very polished delivery though...certainly took the rest of us by surprise
I'm already lookng forward to #3 (December). Lots of lessons learnt over the first 2 episodes and I'm hoping #3 will be a big improvement. Trying to keep it going with 7 of us on the call and against a background of almost constant technical issues and drop-offs was a bit of a challenge, but it edited together reasonably well. Listening back to ones own voice is often painful, but I'm astonished at just how many times I say "and erm", "you know what I mean" and "like" for no reason other than padding. Managed to take most of them out afterwards, but it would be easier if I just learnt to speak properly. Of all of us, Don & Skorj, were the most fluid and eloquent, so let's hear it for the Australian school system
