Filmlab app - scanning made easy?

might not give pixel perfection but for a quick look and post examples from a roll this seems good

anyone know of actually good close up lenses for smartphones? anything giving a flat field of focus atleast :D

Well, the lomo scanner seems to do a pretty good job...

doesn't that just have a hole in it? my iphone 4s only seems to focus down to 7x11 cm size so I'm worried that shooting a 35mm neg might be extra crappy

It's an interesting idea and I wouldn't dismiss it but I don't imagine it'll be great for high-res scans for large-scale prints. Something to hold the phone and get it square to the film plane would be ideal as I can guarantee I'd have a load of very wonky scans.

Well, they use it for scanning lomokino negs, and these are pretty small...
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a small macro adapter in it. These are cheap online. Laxt boxing day, I got a set of adapter lenses for my phone at staples and one of them is a macro lens.

That's what I use as a light table when I scan negatives.  I just put a piece of translucent plastic over it to get rid of the pixels.
