Topic: Bergger Pancro 400 - first 120 roll

Hi!

I've tested the Bergger Pancro 400 with the Pentax 6x7.
As I want to use this film mainly for portraits I did the test shooting portraits. Violeta helped me again ;-)
I love this film.
It really seems easy for the enlarger. I hope to check it very soon.
The negative is really beautiful. No grain at all or really negligible. Flat and nearly free of dust once dried.
It reminds me of the Trix400 I've developed with Perceptol or Xtol.

Surely a good film working as expected from a good film. Could as well be Tri-X imho or HP5 or ... But the pictures are the real stars, magnificent. Made by a photographer who knows what he does and a perfect "model".

Beautiful photos of your daughter, Violetta, as ever.

All the reports I've read about Bergger film suggest that it has an exceptionally wide latitude and that the tonal qualities are exceptional.  I'd have thought this would have been quite different from Tri-X as Tri-X always has that magical "graininess" quality.  Perhaps this would be more pronounced on 35mm rather than 120?

I'd really like to give this ago but I have a couple of bricks of FP4+ and HP5+ to use before I can justify buying any more film.  That said, I might just get a few rolls of 120 and keep them off the wife's radar.....

Thanks for the info Antonio looks like an nice alternative to TRI X which is with fighting my favourite at the moment Delta 400. How flat is it getting onto the reel and when drying?
