Weekend 16th-18th December
« on: December 15, 2016, 11:21:13 PM »
It is 41 minutes before midnight here so hope I can be forgiven for jumping the gun.

Here are two contrasting images from the same roll of FP4+ in a Mamiya RZ67.

Lovely.

I did some water photography with my new Olympus OM101. I really wanted one when they came out, and now they are cheaper than potatoes I bought one. It was so cheap I didn't mind resting it on a coat on a rock in a stream. I must look into a lighter tripod for walking, or maybe a better case.

Kevin, that second shot is quite striking. Nicely done.

As I've been busy and photographically unproductive lately, mine is another shot from a few years back, recently rescanned with better equipment. Canon P, Nikkor 135/3.5, Ektar.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Just loving that waterfall Kevin well worth the early start to the thread

Last Sunday I had a session making a camera out of scrap wood and then using it to shoot glass plate with some other guys.
One pic taken by me the other of me by someone else both taken on my camera

Irv, that is a belting photograph of you, mate! Just shows what can be done with simple materials and a bit of know-how.  Makes me wonder why we all spend so much on fancy stuff if that sort of brilliant result is possible with (don't take this the wrong way) relatively modest kit. If only I had the dexterity....!

Irv, I agree with Late Developer and that's a great portrait of you!

I have my annual rotating Christmas tree Polaroid long exposure.  These were shot with a Polaroid Land Camera 100 with Fujifilm FP-100C that expired 02.2014.  The first is a double exposure.

I love the results you get with that Shanghai film, Fluminian.

Thanks, Kai. I find the Shanghai GP3 quite similar to the Fomapan 100.

Thanks Paul it takes a bit of practice to get a good pour but as long as you get the plate covered in one go it's all good

Cheers Bryan. Loving the trees especially the double exposure

Ta very much Manuel.
The wife also likes it so hopefully I will get to try it out on her soon enough.
The camera was fun to build if a bit basic but the OHP lens on the front is pretty good and I have come across another lens that I'm going to try on it

I took these shots a few weeks back but somehow I didn't feel like developing the two rolls I had taken before today. It happens.

Here is one from the second roll: RPX100@200, Rodinal 1+25

I really like Fluminium's shot of the fence, which has that YashicaMat look that I like.  And Irv's portraits are just amazing.  What a great week of photos.

mine's late, but it was the weekend and I used up some spare time to finish off a roll in my Ansco Pix panorama, which I like a lot!
Old SFX 200 film, (expired from the first time Ilford made it, not from the reboot)
I had the developer a bit warm to get some grit and grain, but this is kind of crunchy!

Is that from the one with an enlarged aperture?

Ha!
Yes!
It IS from that one.  I enlarged the aperture to about f/8 or maybe 5.6///not sure exactly, but it's one of my favorite toy cams.

Last night I was thinking about doing the same thing to a spare Vivitar uws that I have.
I'll need to get my calipers out to get the aperture right (you know how I am with things like that ::) )
