Very interesting ... I can't belive what some people can say. I mean, anybody can comment about what he likes or what she doesn't ... but some commentators are sooo disgusting !!!

Unfortunately, these typs of comments have become all too common.  People seem to love exacting their pound of flesh in comment sections, web forums, etc.  These "webexperts" have no idea of the cred of the photographer they bash, the galleries that display her work, nor the highly positive praise she gets in the press.  They simply think they are experts because they have their nice shiny DSLR and snap thousands of shots of nothing of consequence....but have highly inflated opinions of themselves.

These people would never spout off in person like they do on the web.  They typcially have little confidence in the real world.  They know if they did spout off in the real world like they do online....they would get the reaction they so justly deserve...and be put in their place.

Yes!! This was indeed a very exciting development in the UK newspaper world...our old mucker, the Queen of Blur, Ms Burnstine being written about in a mainstream publication. How awesome is that?!

I wouldn't dream of calling you a moron Reinhold, but I have to disagree with you. I think the tilt adds to the unsettling mood of this picture, whether intended or not. I've seen a few examples where this is used to create movement or drama in a picture and it can be very effective. Perhaps we should all try to tilt our cameras a bit more often (this does not apply to the LF gang).

I take a lot of tilted pictures, this one discussed here is almost tilted and almost upright. Neither fish nor flesh in my obscure opinion. And maybe tomorrow I will state the opposite. Great shot.

As mentioned "up-thread" by Late Developer, Susan B's splendidly dreamy compositions feature across 8 pages of the current (winter 2016, issue 197) Black + White Photography magazine. The accompanying article adds a little more flesh to the bones of the Guardian piece.

I picked up a copy of Black + White this afternoon and I can just echo what Kentish Cob has already said here. This is really something else and has to seen. I'm thinking about getting the book.
