Topic: Is it just me or this is getting ridiculous? Venus Optics Laowa

I don't know if it's just me but I have the feeling this is getting a bit ridiculous.
Venus optics just announced that they would be releasing a new lens. It's a 24mm f/14 2x macro lens.
Now, it is already a bit odd for me considering I've been using a reversed 35mm Takumar for some time and just love it.
But this is a bit... how can I say... exotic.


Is it just me or this thing is really strange?

All it needs is a pair of truck nuts.  To help stabilize it when you're shooting without a tripod of course.

Somehow, I keep feeling it looks like a cross between a monopod and a rifle... Not a good thing when using it in view of the public...
