Stuck indoors on a rainy day with the Baby Rolleiflex I decided to have some fun with my Rondo Close-up lens attachment. The film is long expired Technicolor Color Negative Film dated October 1962.  I rated it at 2 ISO but I think it would have been better at 5.  The box says "FILM MUST BE PROCESSED BY TECHNICOLOR CORPORATION".  I Semi-Stand developed it in Rodinal 1-100 for 1 hour.  I'm sure the Technicolor Police will be knocking on my door any day now.

Don't worry about it, Technicolor is essentially a B&W film. It's the camera and the transfer process that make it wonderful and expensive.

On Friday I decided to give my recently acquired Kodak Retina IIc a test run. Like a fool I forgot to take my lightmeter and the phone app I tried was so ridiculously far out I went for a half-remembered Sunny 16 plus some guesswork. Seemed to work most of the time, anyhow.

Really quite taken by the sharpness of this.

The texture in this shot just looks great to me.

One thing is that on some shots I took with wider apertures, I got this kind of stripey ghosting effect.

Peeling by Antony Shepherd, on Flickr
Could be reflections off the internal bellows? Only occurred at wider apertures, at f8 or smaller there was no sign of it.

Despite that one thing, I'm dead chuffed with how well the Retina performed.

Some great shots! Bryan the sewing machine is lovely, I also like the self portrait Lenore (sorry about the FP-100c tears) and those three buckets are nice Anthony!

Some 8x10 B&W this weekend--the first test of a new restoration project, a 1901 Rochester Optical Long Focus Premo (serial number 6) at full extension with a 19-inch Goerz Apochromat.  Shot on Arista 100 and souped in R09 1+50.  A 4-second exposure at f/32.

Nash Point lighthouses yesterday, pinhole on Acros in the Agfa Record Pinhole.

6x9, but I'd forgotten how close you have to get so they have been cropped.

I love those shots of Crystal Pier James. I am generally happy where I live (and like winter and such) but when I see shots like that I get jealous  ;)

As always, a nicely eclectic selection on the thread.
I'm particularly drawn to AJ's buckets, O2's Buddha amd Kai-San's sunstrike.

I've not had anything to show for a while, working through a big pile of old negs with a view to putting a couple of "essays" together for you... but here's a random shot that won't find a place in a themed submission.

This is Sarre Mill, located on the road between Canterbury and Margate, in the fine county of Kent.
My somewhat hazy memory thinks this was taken maybe 20 years ago... so would have been around the time I was using a Nikon F301. Film would have been Ilford HP5.
Until fairly recently, it remained a working mill, but it's recent sale has resulted in its closure.
I passed by this weekend, and noticed the sweeps have been removed... looks sad without them...
