Weekend 18th - 20th March
« on: March 17, 2016, 10:08:39 PM »
It's almost Friday where I live, not the mention places in the southern hemisphere (like Auckland).

This was the first time ever I was shooting with Kodak Plus-X and I feel pretty sad knowing
that this film is no more in production, since I love the results so much.

Love your Plus-X pics, Fluminian. I never shot a single roll :-(

Hetzbach is a village at the Odenwald Railway which crosses the Oldenwald region from Eberbach to Darmstadt, or vice versa ;) The single track line was built from the late 1860s to early 1880s and has some tunnels and 3 viaducts (1 will be shown later).

The former station building here is now in private ownership and the railway has only a socalled "Haltepunkt" (stop point). The roof of the Gründerzeit(?) building was made in the  traditional style of the region.

Simple cheap silver colored plastic 35 mm camera with a single element fixfocus lens and curved film plane like a billion others, but with an Olympus-mju-style "clam shell" design, haha,  Very conveniant, no settings at all and of course no batteries. Life can be so easy, sometimes.... Long expired original Agfa Leverkusen Vista 400 developed in homebrewed C-41, 17 minutes at 22 °C room temperature with agitation about every 15 seconds.

My first roll with the Baby Rolleiflex using Rera Pan 100 developed in beer.  I was pleased to find that my Rondo Close-up lens works with this camera as you can see in this first shot.

I thought I might be starting off this thread but it's well underway by 0657 UK time !
Here's a few I took last weekend at Fountains Abbey/Studley Royal, a World Heritage Site in Yorkshire.

Beautiful shots. Especially love the colors in those railway shots and the look through the dirty window.
Got another tree shot; Speed Graphic, Tmax100, Xtol

Two shots from my first roll through the Pilot 6 6.3 - the lens might need a little internal cleaning... I was surprised how strongly it vignettes too. Despite this it is a pretty sharp little lens.

Reinhold: that Agfa film is perfect for those shots--the tonality really adds to the mood.

Bryan:  are you sure you don't want some roll-your-own color film for that baby Rollei?????

Thank you Gary and of course all others for your appreciation. Fine show again from everybody, Bryans "curving crates" are outstanding, bravo!

Really great show this week!  :)
I've been trying out a new film type to me, the Agfa Precisa CT-100 slide film. By an accident I exposed it at ISO 400, which was not such a good idea. But it resulted in some strange pictures which is always a bonus.  :P

Wow! what a lovely selection of beautiful and interesting photographs this weekend. I simply adore all of them. If I'd absolutely MUST select just one or two then definitely Imagesfrugales for a certain je-ne-sais-quoi with added timelessness. My other choice would be hookstrapped for being so shamelessly joie-de-vivre.

I'm adding a couple of shots I took today. Nikon FE2 / Nikkor 28mm/3.5, Rodinal 1+50:

I'm late to the party this week. We took a last-minute mad 36-hour dash up to Maine - photos forthcoming once all the film is developed - so I'm falling back on something from a few weeks ago. Leica IIIg, Canon 50/3.5, Kodak Gold 200 (older version, probably slightly expired):

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Ooh, another FX2 user ... I think that makes three of us now.

I've just put a roll of Neopan 1600 in mine.
