Topic: Delta 400 vs TMY2

Has anyone here compared these two films as to if they differ much in terms of sharpness, grain etc? I want to buy something different from the my usual Tri-X and HP5+. (The latter is usually cheaper in 120)

I never really did a side by side comparison and haven't shot them recently, but from memory, while tmy has a more structured look than Delta, it is a bit more pleasing to the eye as the tone separation is a bit nicer... But that's just from memory.

I've used both but haven't done any detailed analysis of pros / cons.  However, I really like Delta 400.  I shot a dozen or so rolls of it via my Rollei 2.8e in Malta a couple of years ago.  I posted on my tumblr www.oneeyeontheworld.tumblr.com if you fancy having a trawl through it. 

I doubt you'd dislike either.  I shot a couple of rolls of Delta 400 before heading for Malta and never regretted it.  It's certainly very different to Tri-X and HP5+ as there's less apparent grain.  I also found Delta held shadow detail very well.
