Developer storage
« on: July 11, 2015, 09:11:48 PM »
Hi guys
I have mixed up some Xtol but because I didn't want to try to make it in smaller quantities I mixed the whole 5 litres.
I could only find an evian water type bottle to mix and store it in. Now I'm wondering If there is anything in the chemical that would attack the thinnish plastic of the bottle or vice versa?
I store it in a completely dark place so the light cant effect it in any way, until I get it out to use it and then I will put it back.

Usually plastics are safe from developers.
If the bottle is too thin, the only reasons for leakage are pretty much physical punctures.

I had dev in 4 liter wine boxes for years and never had any problem with that.
