I decided to try out my other Pilot 6, the one that shoots 6x6. I took a photo of my first Pilot 6 with the second:

Steady hands, Ezzie!

I got outside to photograph the final snowfall last weekend.  Well I hope that's the last of it anyway.

Missed a few weekends; time to get out and shoot some more!  Also from the (hopefully) last big snow in the Northeast: Portra 160 5x7, Gundlach Korona

Just picked up a batch of Arista EDU Ultra 400, which is apparently a Fomapan rebrand. I was hoping that I'd like it, especially since it's almost 1/2 the price of Tri-X, but this roll looks far too grainy and non-contrasty for my taste. Fluminian, I know Fomapan is your go-to, and I love your shots (though you develop in promicrol, right?) ... do you have any thoughts? I still have another 7 rolls of this stuff, so any suggestions on how best to shoot it are welcome :)

I have used Fomapan 400 and it's not that bad. Two examples: 1) D76 2) Rodinal semi stand

Terry: I used my standard HC110 dilution H for 12 minutes (massive dev chart recommended 13 minutes, but I use 12 minutes for Tri-X so I told massive dev to bugger off :P )

Fluminian: Maybe I'll try Rodinal 1:100 semi stand then? I like the D76 shot best (especially the highlights), but I've decided not to use powdered chemicals because I'm too lazy to just add water  ::)

Diane, the second shot is just mind-boggling! Wonderful!  :D
No new shots from me, we've had rain and wind for weeks on end. Now it's nice, and guess what; I've caught a cold! I feel like hitting the big red ERROR button..........

As usual, great shots! The impala is pretty funny SLVR. Jeff, the Repent and the snow and the angles (not angels ;) ) is great. Terry I really can get lost staring into pics like that. Fluminian, like the deck chairs, and Flippy, the pilot taking the pilot is great stuff. Diane I particularly love the second one.

This next one is probably the case where I should crop off the right side, but a) I have this stupid desire to show the whole neg warts and all and b) I kind of like its black hulking mass. One of my fine arts instructors used to quote the hackneyed "Kill your Darlings" and I have a hard time even cropping them  ;)

Nice shots Don. Diane, anamorphs always freak me out, but I like yours. :) I can look at diagrams of how the light travels all day, but I still can't get my head around these little wonders. Light is still traveling in straight lines right?

Lots of amazing stuff as usual!  Just got these back from the lab today.  Minolta SLR 110 shot on Kodak Kodacolor Gold 200 expired 11/1991.  It's an early spring in the Pacific Northwest, trees are blooming and I'm mowing my lawn again.  Sorry for those of you on the East Coast that are still suffering through winter.

Love Diane's anamorphic pinhole and Charles' pinata.

Manuel, I like the shoot of the bicycles. It is abstract at first, but then the subject snaps into focus. Good job making a good photo with what you had on you.

On Friday 13th I went down to Brighton and took a few shots with my Bronica ETRS fitted with the AE-II prism and the Speed Grip. It was an unlucky day because when I went to the Craft pub for a lunchtime drink I found they didn't open until 4. Woe!

Got a few nice shots out of it, even if the weather wasn't perfect the sun was sneaking through the thin layer of cloud.

No more big bits seem to have fallen off the West Pier over the winter, but it remains a good subject. The wave breaking makes this shot work for me though.

Hmmm, I 'll scan my first roll of Fomapan 400 tomorrow, and see how it looks. Also HC-110 dil-H. But for 15 minutes, because I had it it the same tank as a roll of N+1 Tri-X.

Failed to contribute to the weekend thread for the last two weeks, and feeling like I need to re-involve myself...

As is always the case on the weekend threads, a nice selection of subjects and styles. I'd like to single out Volker's pylons for special mention.

My shot is from last weeks visit to Ashdown Forest. Shot on Kodak EBX100 using my lovely Nikon F4.
I'll upload more as a "one subject, one roll" a little later this evening.

I like those shots Jonas. It reminds me of when I was young and the snow would recede in the spring. I loved that time of year.

One more from me.  Upon opening one of my holgas in Spain a couple of weeks ago, I found it had a fully exposed film in it.  I hadn't used that holga for a while and I couldn't remember where I shot the film.  It turned out the film was shot in Ixtapan Ziahuatenejo a year ago.  This is the best image from the roll.

Here's one more on Portra 160 in a Kodak Brownie 2A given me by Bryan C (one of his shots with it can be seen here). I didn't have any 616 film, so I spooled some Portra 120 (well half of a roll of 220 actually) onto a 616 spool. I wasn't thinking and took the spool out of the camera in the light, so I did get a little light piping on some of the shots. Live and learn. Anyway, the negs are huge (6x11) and I scanned them at too high a resolution and developed a claw hand dust spotting them. Thank goodness for the Huion, or it could have been much worse.
