I'm actually a bit sympathetic to this app. It might be a bit stupid and cynical, but there's also real value in bringing back an older picture-taking process. One of the reasons, maybe the main reason, I like film is because it's a surprise to find out later what I got. That's fun that digital has pretty much sucked from the process. But more importantly, not being able to see what you just shot means you can focus on shooting, and not be distracted by what you just shot and, as a result, missing shots you could have been taking. With film, and this app, you separate shooting from editing whereas with digital they get intertwined, and I don't find that a good thing. Focusing on shooting, looking up and around at your surroundings instead of burying your nose in your screen, being more deliberate and thoughtful in what you shoot because you have a limited number and each one costs something... Not a bad concept.
