New project, I've certainly not finished in the woods, but have so much stuff going on outside photography that need a project extremely close to home - my pond. Plan is for a years study and see what I get, this is my fave from week 1.

Ya Dave that shot is really decent and Andrej that litho print is awesome.

Winter has arrived early in my neck of the woods (although not as intensely as south of us in Buffalo NY where they have 6+ feet of snow!). Here are some shots from a few days ago when the earth was not totally snow covered...

What a great weekend so far, outstanding work. I really like Fluminian's shot, I'm always a sucker for reflections.
Still playing with Holga 120WPC, so I tried some expired ektachrome 100VS and xpro'ed it. Bit overexposed but I liked the result.

Absolute stunner, DonkeyDave. It'll be a treat to watch this project unfold...
Another lovely still life from Harvey, it looks so simple, but we all know it's not..!
The one I've spent the most time looking at, though, is Fluminian's contre-jour shot. It's the compression of the three elements (mesh, ball and cloud) in the reflection, that really caught my eye. I guess the effect is caused by the difference between the angles of incidence and reflection..?

Two from me this week. Processed and scanned last week.
I find old cemeteries fascinating, and they really suit b&w. This is Margate cemetery, which is a big old place, and has some great statuary.

I don't know much background in regards to what this display is all about, but I stumbled upon it near a local addiction treatment center. I like to think that each tree is a symbol of a single person's sobriety, and in turn, each cloth tied around that tree would represent a length of time that they have remained clean.... But I truly have no idea, that is just how I like to imagine it.

Anyways I've been really enjoying using the Rollei 35 for the duration of the month. It really cuts down on the amount of gear I carry.  :P
Now that I am more confident with zone focusing I will definitely be carry it with me much more!

This week I've taken a few shots on Ektar for the one camera one month challenge, but I want to finish another roll rather than develop just one roll, so here's one from a few weeks back taken with the RZ67 and some expired Fuji Superia 100 which I purchased from this forum.

OK, I'm breaking my own self-imposed "one photo per weekend thread" rule, but only because this picture just seemed so perfectly appropriate for a thread celebrating the weekend:

That said, here's my "official" contribution (both shots with my Canon L1, Canon Serenar 50/1.9, HP5+ in Caffenol-C-H(RS)):

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Last weekend I went to Death Valley with some cameras and some friends in a Jeep.
This is a shot of Ruth Camp made with a Diana clone that is crazy funky.

The weather was great, the roads were rocky and my cameras got a nice workout.

I don't usually do this but back in 2002 when I got my first digital camera I put my Olympus Stylus Zoom DLX away with a roll of film loaded and forgot about it.  I was never very excited about that camera, I probably bought it to have something compact to take snowboarding.  I dug it out of my closet last week and noticed a roll of film loaded so I bought a battery for it.  It said there was 4 shots taken so I decided to shoot off the rest of the roll, two of those shots came out, a Christmas photo and one of my old dogs.  The film was Fujicolor Super HQ 200.  These are what I shot with it last weekend.

Oh, I'm late again. Too many good photos already. No chance commenting on each one I like without writing a novel.
Over here it was grey and rainy last time a had some spare time for photography. So just an instant indoor shot of my old stuffed dog (a bit threadbare, but still loved).

Wow, how the hell did that happen?? Is it a direct non-reversed scan of the negative or something? (i.e., is the dark region on top actually the light leak from loading the film?) However it happened, I love it!   8)

That I should have such happy accidents :)

And speaking of which, this accident was not quite as ecstatic, but I think it still warrants a small "woo hoo!" I have been volunteering at a no-kill cat shelter, and after my work is done, they have no problem with me wandering around snapping a few shots. I saw this little guy in the sun and took my shot. Didn't notice the shadow or that it had made it into the frame. Am pretty much loving it, though :D And then the third cat is a little bit of a Where's Waldo game. I actually did see that third cat and intended to make him more prominent, but I might like it better this way.

The third cat is in the background, top of the frame, towards the right. He's hard to see anyway but if you're on a laptop and it's tilted back, he's lost.
