Maybe it's because I shoot film... I just don't online 'zines'. I have subscribed to numerous (free) zines for both work and pleasure. I have yet to read a complete article in any. I just flick through the pics and get back to work. Viewing zines on my desktop screen (about 40cms) gives me no pleasure. I'd rather buy it and hold it.

Yes, I know that the web allows penniless kids to become' publishers' and 'publish' zines on the web and that's great. But if you have access to London, especially 'arty' places such as Soho, there are numerous photo/art/design led or focussed titles. Yes, they can cost £5-10 each, but I'd rather pay that and hold it, than pay a fraction of that and look at it.

I suppose it's similar to preferring LPs over downloads.

But to go back to Our Leader's original comment - yes, the content looks really interesting. So print it!

I think paper mags are very difficult to fund and distribute these days .... I agree, pc screens do not make the most of the online format, but tablets are a different story. I quite like accessing online and PDF publications on my tablet.

But .... There is nothing like a high quality print publication. I agree. I really miss the old AG magazine - just the smell of the ink alone was enough to justify the price! I still occasionally get them off the shelf and take a deep sniff.

Despite format etc, this is a good looking mag, and film only. It is worth supporting. It is good value too I think.

I must admit that the smell of fresh ink and paper is something out of this world.
