Canada Post Warning!
« on: July 31, 2014, 10:49:09 PM »
I've been waiting for what seems like forever for a package that's stuck in Mississauga (Toronto) and not moving at all when I stumbled onto this disconcerting news coming from LensRentals Canada:
Quote
Due to serious issues with the Canada Post Corporation, we are currently not taking any new orders. We do not have an ETA as to when we will be accepting new orders […] Current reservations will be shipped via Purolator Courier. While Purolator is majority owned by Canada Post, it does not share any aspects of the delivery network such as depots or post offices. We have the utmost confidence in Purolator Courier.

So I'm wondering if I'm the only one who has problems with Canada Post these days?

God I hope this is not going to be standard practice. I hate having to use couriers for cross boarder as they always add brokerage.

I had a recent run in with Purolator and how ass backwards their service is. I haven't had any bad experiences with Canada Post. Though these days I highly disagree with what they are doing with their services. Reducing services while charging more for postal service is quite a ripoff.

My son is getting posted to Canada so if he gets lost I'll be able to turn his room into my dark room

I just got the package I was waiting for!
Just imagine, it took them from the 26th to the 31st to bring the small envelope from Mississauga to Montreal...
Lucky for me they didn't send it through the package shredder or the 800 lbs. gorilla cage before bringing it.
