Early again but I'll play. Some Chromes from me. I just realized you can see where I used to live in the background of the second shot.

Great chromes, TinTin. I'd really like to be able to spot such cars on Croatian streets.  :(

All lovely stuff as usual.

This weeks pinhole from me... it's one of the old Victorian Lighthouses at Harwich in Suffolk.

Thanks, guys. The Elmar 90/4 is a great little lens and unfairly maligned IMHO. Yes, it's slow, and the coatings are soft so there are often scratches on the front element, and they tend to get a little hazy internally, but they clean up easy, and you can just throw a lens hood on it and the contrast comes right up. And they're plentiful and cheap, in part because people think they're sub-par. I really like the classic rendering.

It's possible I've uploaded a negative scan of this image before ; this a new darkroom version, printed on Ilford MGIV RC and toned in Fotospeed ST20 Sepia toner. The film was TMax 100 in a Yashicamat 124G

Thanks! Yes, a Dano (I have a weakness for them). I had to attach the camera to the neck of the guitar to keep the guitar relatively sharp while I moved around. I think it would also be really cool to take one of  you and that Firebird Slide Trumpet if the opportunity ever arises. I'd like to do a whole series of instruments and players.

Ah, so that was the trick :-) I figured you got someone else to take the picture or something. The Dano 12 string I have is one of my favorite guitars to play :-) And I would love a similar treatment on me and my Firebird! Let's set it up! :-D

This picture of a picture is from me, and it's DIGITAL.  From a phone no less.  So sue me.  :-)

The newly framed lovliness is a print from Astrobeck.  She's getting the best, deepest blue-blacks in her prints.  They look great on the internet but even better behind glass.  Wonderful!

Have a great weekend everyone!

One from this morning.  Efke 100 (processed as neg) in the Yashica 44.  Soup was Rodinal 1+50.

Congrats Jeff--proud owner of an Astrobeck original.  Very cool!

A friend let me borrow his Nikon S2 rangefinder. That's a sweet little unit! I loaded it with expired Kodak Dacomatic copy film and shot it at iso 100 then stand developed in Caffenol-CL for 70min. That is about a 4 stop push and the grain is still pretty manageable. The contrast on the other hand... This was shot at dusk, so not bright sun, but not dark either.

Trying some color in the 4x5. The chemistry is bad, but testing before I do some serious work.

Funny little story. While I was packing my gear back into my car I had the pleasure to meet two police officers. I showed them my gear and someone called saying I had a gun. But alas, it was only my Soligor spotmeter.

It's going to be the first of many run ins I can tell with the 4x5 camera.  ;D

Mind-blowing pinhole, Paul. So good.

TinTin, I love those pianos.

Just quickie-posting something I developed nearly four ago and scanned nearly two weeks ago. I'm such a slacker. A low-contrast, indoor, Great Wall shot, just for you Filmwasters who sold your Great Walls long ago.
