Hey Leonore!
Fantastic to see you back
One sign of spring in urban Canada is the appearance of old Tim Horton's coffee cups as the snow melts around them. Tim Hortons is this huge chain of coffee/donut shops that are everywhere (easily the most common fast food place). The coffee is not particularly good and yet Canadians seem hooked on the stuff. And this large corporation has managed to wrap themselves in the Canadian flag in a manner that is fairly rare here.
Well, Tim's is pretty much the only gig in town nowadays if you want donuts. Ever since every Dunkin' has closed, they have a monopoly on those fried goods.
And given that Tim Horton was a hockey player, it's no wonder that for most people they're more red and white than the Prime Minister's underwear!
If I were to choose only two companies that are as Canadian as can be, Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire would probably be up there battling it out for the first spot.
