Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

My new favorite filmstock! Ektachrome 64 daylight, expired 1984, rated at EI25, cross-processed in C41. First shot on a Minotla SR-T101 at a Brooklyn Holi festival, second on a Canonet at Coney Island last week.

Indofunk, that is great! For that first image I just picture you playing with a camera around your neck.  :)

This roll has been in an M645 for a while, since there are some "spring thaw" shots on it -- really, in Ontario that was not THAT long ago  ;) A couple of shots with my new macro on my M645

Tim's in the spring
by mcduff!, on Flickr

One sign of spring in urban Canada is the appearance of old Tim Horton's coffee cups as the snow melts around them. Tim Hortons is this huge chain of coffee/donut shops that are everywhere (easily the most common fast food place). The coffee is not particularly good and yet Canadians seem hooked on the stuff. And this large corporation has managed to wrap themselves in the Canadian flag in a manner that is fairly rare here.

This semester has been dismal - I've been so busy that I've barely wasted any film at all   >:(
But finally! I shot and developed some film! I am starting to feel human again...

So I'm posting two shots because I'm just too damn excited that I actually have something for the weekend thread :)

Hey Leonore!
Fantastic to see you back :)

Well, Tim's is pretty much the only gig in town nowadays if you want donuts. Ever since every Dunkin' has closed, they have a monopoly on those fried goods.
And given that Tim Horton was a hockey player, it's no wonder that for most people they're more red and white than the Prime Minister's underwear!

If I were to choose only two companies that are as Canadian as can be, Tim Hortons and Canadian Tire would probably be up there battling it out for the first spot.

We have a new dam on our neighborhood pond.  I made a few studies on Tri-X with my Olympus OM-1.  When all the landscaping is finished, I plan to return with my 4x5 camera and make more detailed photos of some of these scenes.

Shot this today with my newly acquired Graflex 35 on expired plus-x. This is the first roll I've put through it. Quite a silly camera, which is probably why I like it.

I looked up the Graflex "Graphic 35", and it looks a lot like my Graflex Ciro ... and the internet says that they are indeed related models. I have a love-hate relationship with mine, but I do love the fact that it's easy to take doubles on it, so it's basically my dedicated double exposure camera :)

I need to get used to the nutty shutter trigger lever against the lower right of the camera body. A lot of my images on that roll had a slight blur, which I attribute to not being able to keep the camera steady while using that lever.

I had the same problem. A $5 shutter release cable solved all my problems  8)
