Hi wasters, I was just wondering what your favorite film for cross processing is?

So far I've done some:

- velvia 50, which I liked (nice saturated colors) expect it's now around 17 euros a film which is a bit steep
- Provia 400X, was quite grainy, which was nice in some shots but then again 15 euros a film for grainy shots....
- rollei digibase gave quite greensish effects not to sure about it
What's your experiences with cross processing?

I've tried

Velvia 100F - my favorite. Very red when overexposed or in bright sunlight

old, expired Scotch chrome 400 - horribly grainy and a weird green

Agfa Precisa 100 - according to Flickr, this should have had a pleasing blue tone, but mine came out very yellow and a bit green. Later found out that there's a "new" formula that behaves this way.

no examples to hand and seldom remember what I used back when I did a bit more...

in my head fuji goes more green, but I shot some provia 100 in the holga last year in spain and it came out great - saturated but not too much shift, will post example when home.

going to be doing a bit more with a waterproof cam I have, so will be watching this with interest, the 64T above looks great!

I agree that Fuji T64 looks very interesting...

The 64t comes out of the machine with a bright green film base. Just beware if you are xproing without telling the lab as they may have some questions or concerns

I have one roll of 35mm left of the fuji 64t in the freezer. And maybe about 9 rolls of the ektachrome 64T which gave me similar results but the film base was a totally different color for some reason.

Never had much luck with xpro. Usually just end up with super grainy negatives or they are blue or green when scanned. But I don't do it much. I did xpro negative film in slide developer once, came out very dense and blue.

Indofunk & hookstrapped - Not sure if I have any 35mm 64T left but I picked up some 120 a while back. I could likely part with a couple rolls. I really should put it in the Rolleicord but I'd trade for it, PM if interested. I`m pretty open to most types of film.

I might be interested in a 35mm elitechrome... Trade for something? What speed?

edited to include example below - cross processed provia 100 shot in holga.... like the punchy but still accurate ish colours...

The other day I rummaged through my freezer and found some lomography x tungsten 64, so I shot it yesterday and well it turns out pink... really really PINK! The filmbase was quite greenish as well. It's now discontinued I believe but I still got four 35mm rolls, lucky me

Can I interest anyone in some of it? anything goes...
Anyone got a clue if lomo produce their own film or they have it made for them by some well known company? Markings on the film don't give away much...

But I really like that ektachrome, it's more the effect I'm looking for, gonna try that one next

I like the pink! Like color infrared pink.

BTW, I shoot the Ektachrome 100VS one stop overexposed.

Didn't Lomography sell that stuff by saying "turn the world blueberry" or some kind of nonsense like that? In anycase, I'd like one if you want to trade for something.

so this week I shot some Agfa CT100 and some Kodak E100VS, both Xpro'ed

and here the results..... first one is the agfa shot at box speed, second one is the kodak E100VS shot one stop over exposed but it is a bit too bright for my taste and lacks the saturated colors. Lessons for the next time I quess....

I tend to avoid doing anything in the darkroom when I am cross. It usually ends up with me breaking something. Processing is something to do when calm and content., not cross and angry,
