Filmwasters Print Circle Round 9
« on: January 18, 2014, 11:32:14 PM »
Can you beleive it's been 3 years since our last print circle??? I think we are well overdue the Filmwasters Print Circle Round 9     :)

A reminder of the guidelines follow-

Each person will be given the details of another filmwaster to whom they
should send one print.

This is not an exchange, you will only ever send one print and will receive one print albeit from another participant in the circle.

Example: Bugs Bunny sends to Daffy Duck, who sends to Marvin Martian, who
sends to Road Runner, who sends to Wile E. Coyote who sends to Bugs Bunny
- thus the circle is completed.

A Few Rules-

1.  Prints should be made from film negatives/ positives - NO digital capture.
2.  Prints should be made on a maximum paper size of 10 x 8 or A4 although
images can be any size on this - this is just to keep postage costs down. if you are wealthy and happy to send a bigger print, feel free :)
3.  Prints can be made in any way including alt processes, silver gelatin, inkjet etc.
4.  Any comments/ details/ criticism requests are purely optional.
5.  There is nothing to stop you making private arrangements to exchange prints within the circle, but that is not the purpose of this exercise.
6.  Those who do not send on a print after signing up will not be allowed to participate in future rounds until they have fulfilled their commitment (unless mitigating circumstances apply)
7.  New members with no contribution in the forum are asked to get involved before signing up to the Print Circle.  We ask at least an introduction post or a few thread posts.
8.  All participants will receive details of the person from whom they will receive a print. It is the responsibility of each participant to
chase up outstanding prints.

All interested members should-

1) post interest in this thread
2) PM me their address details and e-mail address for postage/ shipping by 1st March 2014
- do NOT post your contact details to this thread as they will be visible to the whole inter-wide-web.
I will sort out the order of the circle then contact everyone with address of sending within the 1st week of March - then it is over to you.

If you have questions not covered in the guidelines, then post them here.
That’s it!

Good Luck!
Leon

I don't see any reference to having to print it myself so, assuming that commercially produced prints are acceptable so long as I shot it on film, please count me in.

this is going to be another top-notch effort by the FWrs .... I can tell. There is plenty of time to sign up one and all. New and old. Young and younger.

It is a great way to collect prints and enjoy passing on your work.

Strangely me too! :)
I always loved that funky Martian architecture and those instant martians (just add water) :)

Question before I make my final decision: Do I pick the print to send to someone, or can I give him or her a choice of pictures to choose from?

I'm certain your prints do not suck Verian ... but there is no pressure to join in. We will definitely do it again, so you'll have other opportunities.

BUT ... please, anyone, dont feel this is about quality and ability. All are welcome, beginners and old pros (!?!?!?!? ;) )

Hi Leon.

I've just been re-reading the rules.  To be clear, you'll have all the entrants' names and postal addresses by 1st March 2014 and then you'll tell us who / where we're to send the photo during the first week of November 2014 - thus allowing us seven months to shoot the photo and have it printed.....?
