Hi Diane.

It's a work day but I work in London and I have no meetings scheduled that mean I need to be somewhere else. Therefore, I should be available from about 17:30 onwards. What are your plans for that time of day? I'm up for some twilight shooring around central London / Thames.

BTW..does anyone know where the "Boat Barge" is located? We love book stores..

I'm intrigued - though not enough to set up a Twitter account after I've avoided one like the plague since it all kicked off. I've had a look at Google but they don't seem to have a proper website. I'll track 'em down though....

Not really sure what that means, Ed. Seriously. I work on the basis that if they want me to go and buy stuff from them, it'd be much easier if they'd just have a website and have a "contact us" button or put a big map on the website saying "this is where we are today and this is where we'll be tomorrow". For whatever reason, I just don't seem able to muster the wit to sleuth my way round Twitter.

I think that our hotel is about three stops from where we met last time..was that moorgate?..but since I don't remember the name of the place or the stop please let me know..so excited to see everyone! The best part of my trip!

So I found out from my daughter that she didn't want to sound like an idiot asking about the boat barge ( but it's ok if her mother does ) KIDS..anyway..she is just wondering what area or body of water or whatever we might find this thing..What about Miller and Damion? Come one, come all!!

Might it have been "The Globe"on Moorgate? We've used this a few times for FW meet-ups....

I work a 15-20 minute walk away, so I should be able to get there by 5:30. There's a good-sized bar downstairs but it gets busy about this time. If Paul Mitchell, Leon, Moiz and I hang around looking shifty with cameras around our necks, you should be able to spot us easily enough, Diane...

Hi everyone. I'm still on for the 26th. By then I should be firmly in harness at my new job (well, new assignment, same old job) and apparently I'll be based near London Bridge for the next few months. Nice! This means I should be able to mooch along to The Globe sometime between 6 and 7pm.

It was a huge shame that so many people dropped out at the last minute, but that's par for the course on these occasions, so it was no surprise. However, Diane being one of those 'lights up the world' type of people, it was still a wonderful evening full of very engaging conversation. Diane was in London for 2 days after visiting Iceland and she's off to the Greek islands today. Whirlwind tour or what!? I'm not sure when she'll read this thread next, but Diane, wherever you are, I hope you're having a great time and finding lines of laundry to take photos of.

Engaging company, some decent food and a few pints is always a great recipe for a fine evening out. Pity there were a few people who couldn't make it - but there's always next time.

Friday night in Athens..quite a day, but we made it none the less.
Last night really was the high point of my vacation. Can't tell you guys enough
how much I enjoyed dinner with you...wonderful friends and conversation always makes for good times..
You will all be hearing from me soon. Paul gave me an incredible book with such wonderful photography, I stayed up half the night reading every line and studying each image.
