I truly love old vintage photos...

Had to grab this one!  Looks like it was made with an old box camera of some sort.

Nice find! Do you know where that 3rd place is? It's really interesting.

Congrats on the house too!     8)

Thanks! That's the old Peak restaurant / viewing tower in Hong Kong. Removed in the 1990s I think and replaced with a significantly less stylish building. Skj.

Sorry to say Becky, but the building  no longer exists. It was the first generation of the Peak Tower, now replaced by an bigger building along similar lines

I dig the way that even when Skorj finds a photo, it looks stylish  :D  Here are some that I found in a Coronet Commander a few years ago; I love them.

Found an old photo album at my fathers house. Here he is outside his first house, with his first bike, taken by his first wife (my mum). From the shadow it might have been a TLR.

Love me some old photos. These I have are of my Mum and Dad in 1957, with friends, getting crunk. They stayed crunk too. Probably shot with my Dad's Sunbeam.

I love buying old photographs and hand-colour them! It's kind of giving a second chance...

Sapata, that's really beautiful!

Here's a picture of myself that I found just the other day. A budding shutterbug (upside down camera notwithstanding). It was taken with the same Polaroid Land Camera 100 that I've been using lately.

Oh, and shuddap about the pants. It was the 70s.

At least they weren't with the large plaid pattern ;)

I have a Minolta XE7 with a roll of Kodak Gold 400 in it, about 25 exposed, I think this time I'll get it developed.

definitely do so!
Here are my usual guesses when it comes to the chances
97% boring
2% fantastic discovery
1% unmentionable or NSFW

The funny stories usually come from the last 3%... just ask Ed about the story of that negative he found by the sidewalk years ago  :P

Sapata,
That colorized version is very nice.
I think those people in the photo would be happy with your interpretation of it!
Nice!    8)

I purchased a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye at an estate sale that still had some Kodacolor-X loaded.  I sent it to Film Rescue International for processing as black & white.   That film must have been sitting in that camera for a long time.

Oh wow, that first shot is just so wrong in all the right ways. Those lapels, those ruffles, the bowtie! And Lassie in the background! That picture is a prize, all right :)
