I also find that with boats and harbour scenes, getting in close to isolate patterns or textures can be very rewarding.

Of course, pottering around a photogenic Adriatic harbour is a rare holiday treat for me - I have to work with the best the tidal Thames has to offer...

I was born in a small town at the Adriatic coast, so love for the sea, ships and boats comes naturally to me.
