New York 1939 on Kodachrome
« on: June 01, 2013, 10:47:20 PM »
Here's a short video that was shot in 1939 in full color!
They were shot by a French tourist named Jean Vivier only four years after Kodachrome was released to the public.
The video is courtesy of the Romano Archives
Hope you enjoy.

Great find!! I just love any old images in colour and collect Kodachrome, Dufay and Autochromes.

I have some 1939 Kodachrome images on my blog of the World Fair:

love it. apart from the horrendous drum loop over the smooth jazz. goes right out of time as it is a computer sans musical feeling. but anyway. images are amazing :-)

I'm all for hats!
Being prone to sunburn, I have quite a collection of them.
