Cycling and snaps
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:48:25 PM »
Now, I know there are a few of you interested in cycle racing - I even met a lovely filmwaster and her husband at the Olympic RR. I have just stumbled on this lovely blog  http://ildolore.cc/ of lovely snaps etc. Almost as good a Rouleur mag.

Outstanding, Andrea.

I particularly like the one on page two where the bucket of water is being thrown over a rider. I assume to cool him down, but, the weight of water looks as if it might be enough to knock him off his bike. Priceless!

Ha, yes looks like it Phil. Perhaps he was trying to emulate Dali and Halsman!

Fascinating stuff!! I particularly like the photo of the riders at  the Stelvio with about 6ft of snow - wearing short sleeved vests!

They really were tough cookies in those days!

A great set of images

On a bike I'm more of a dawdler then a racer - too many stops for photographs !
