Polaroid Pihole Camera
« on: May 01, 2007, 04:07:02 AM »
I've posted this at ƒ 295 and tc, so apologies to any who has already seen this, but for anyone else who hasn't and is interested in making their own polaroid pinhole camera, I've got a video tutorial on the process here:

Hell, if I can make one that works, anyone can!
 :)

(below is an image I took on world pinhole day with the camera I made in the tute)

Cameron, thanks for sharing the info and the photo. Looks like you did a bang-up job.

Pretty sweet results...
I'll have to go to the public library to be able to download the video (I'm still on slow dial up) as I am wondering what the heck you did with that 3½ disk?

As for the pinhole, you could make your life a lot easier and get the Pinhole Designer.
I used it before and think it's probably the best one out there. I did hack myself one from scratch before but this one has mine beat. It also makes nice little exposure compensation charts that are worth every drop of ink (I put mine in Excel and made it all nice and tidy so it fits perfectly on my camera's back!)

fancier than mine... i just ripped the front off a square shooter and put a piece of cardboard on the front and use aluminum foil for the pinhole.

I just noticed something that splits my sides: ArtPunk just made a 3.1416 hole camera :)

Pihole... Pi hole... 3.1416... π (greek letter)...

OK, not that funny but incredibly nerdy :)
