Wow! Before I saw the whole set, I thought that slide came right out of the house and into the water!

Great set of pix as always.  This is so surreal and futuristic looking.

Very cool!  The colors are really something, and I love the subject. 

I was trying to shoot pinholes yesterday and wee little kid's baseball on Saturday.  I should have shot the pinholes at the ball game

fantastic skorj! but you came to taiwan, and didn't even contact me??! glad you made it up to the abandoned resort. did you take any shots of the dragon oustide? that dragon is amazingly scary at night let me tell you. some locals won't even venture into this place for fear of ghosts. i drove past this at night once with some of my former students and one of them turned her head away and shielded her eyes so as not to see it as we passed. as far as i'm concerned this is the best thing about the north coast. forget the beaches and cafes. this is the real deal. of course now i live on the opposite end of the island so no abandoned resorts for me.

If there was ever a place 'Taylor made' (FW pun) for Herr Skorj and his instant gratification approach to photography then this looks like being it. Wonderful stuff indeed. Can't get enough of it personally. I may need you to crank up the new printer again matey. I'd love one of these on the walls at Wenn Mansions.

This weekend I didn't take a single picture. We toured the grandparents on both Sat and Sun so I was hands-on-dad for both days.

In related news though I didn manage to leave the darkslide in for the whole of the test roll through my new Bronica ETRS last week. Numpty!!!

did you take any shots of the dragon oustide?

Just one; not happy with it. I did not like the way they have built the new road through, by cutting open his tail. No wonder the place is haunted - cutting a dragon's tail off gotta be bad feng shui... I can understand how some would feel it overall too creepy as well. Others commented to us on ghosts and being haunted, we were told some folks had died during construction, and it went down hill from there... At least there were no bats as I've had flying around on previous explorations - now that was creepy. Skj.

i'm surprised there weren't bats around there. they aren't uncommon that's for sure. i hadn't noticed the tail had been cut off when i was there. but i sort of stumbled upon it by accident when i discovered it. i've heard there's been talk about tearing it down and building something else at this location but the construction companies won't touch it due to its history. there's another set of buildings like this in yeh liao but i believe it's fenced in(it's next to some big hotel resort) so not as easy to get to as the one in san zhi.
