Weekend again? September 27
« on: September 27, 2012, 06:09:38 PM »
Wow, never started a thread before...

Me and Becky have been shooting a Holga double exposure collaboration. First a black and white roll of film, started by Becky and finished and developed at our place. Some really strange photos came out of that roll. Then again, I started a roll of colour film, and sent it over to Becky. And after she had shot her 12 photos, some really lovely photos showed up. This is my favourit. A Swedish ice cream man, in a desert dove cage. Oooo he looks happy over there :)

Britt (and Becky) - fantastic and very surreal combo.
Chalky - those shots take me back 40 years to when my family hols were in Cornwall (it was in black and white and muted colours in those days). Superb.

A couple from me. One at Tate Modern (OM2n/XP2 Super) and the other some sunflowers (Mamiya 7/150mm lens/expired HP5)

Love Chalky's polaroid set - the Morris Traveller is especially cool - surely cars made of wood are due for a come back?

Gave Prescysol EF a try for the first time this week, while I wait for Silverprint to re-stock with Finol.

Happy weekend.

A loud shout and they all got airborne. Oslo harbor, Superia 400 and my mothers MEsuper 50/2.0 Super-crapy scan done on some £15 scanner I bought second hand, but i kind of like it.

First roll trough my Yashica A - expired pro400h, early morning at the summer house, the sun was about to force the fog away over the fjord. Kid of cliché, but I just had to take it  ;)

Edit:  just found a different scan of the first picture - not sure which one i prefer though.

@ Aksel - No need to fret on the scanner as the shots are supercalifragilisticexpialidocious...

Super- "above", cali- "beauty", fragilistic- "delicate", expiali- "to atone", and docious- "educable", with the sum of these parts signifying roughly "Atoning for educability through delicate beauty."

Here's one i took at a Hakka festival about 25 years ago when i was in Taiwan for the first time.

Today I loaded my last pack of fuji fp-100c45 with some reluctance. It's painful to see this film is harder to find and now almost as expensive as polaroid sheet film on auction sites.

Despite being the last box, this shot made me happy I loaded it.

@ Miller, thank you for both kind words and a new word to be added to my vocabulary  ;)
Just edited an other version of the picture into my original post to show what i meant about "crappy" scan - totally different feel to it.

@ volker, excellent shot! Really like the mood in it, it reminds me somewhat of the film "2046".

@ Calbisu, thank you - really like it my self - just that I´w seen a lot of very similar pictures in the past - but the light was just to tempting not to catch  :)  Did you get to know any of the history of you polaroid gentleman?

@ Euge..., really like that picture from the beach! People hanging out on the beach during night time?

Thanks .Id been to Brighton for a Dexys gig and had parked down near the beach.I didnt know that there were that many people down on the beach until i got the film back.

I like the difference in atmosphere you got in both the 'Bird' images. The high contrast in the 2nd reminds me of some of Mario Giacomelli's images.

Wife's last chemotherapy session is tomorrow. Woohoo! Me, slowly returning to the fold. I have three rolls of B&W and one of color to process. Maybe Thanksgiving weekend?

Until then, you'll have to put up with some pack film.

Had to wait a day for it to dry up. My first real emulsion lift. Two shots put together. What do you all think? Im a little impartial to it. I think that maybe the "seam" takes away from the image a bit.

It was Fuji FP-100c. I found when looking at examples of 100c lifts that the edges curled in a lot and the emulsion is very strong so its hard to manipulate.

Also i didnt have any medium to get it to stick down so i ended up using a concoction of hair wax and water to stick the emulsion down.

Lastly, i think that the electric eye is dying on my 250 land, if i shoot at the regular setting i get under exposed images. Hence why these are a little dark.

Im really open to thoughts on this one.

Tintin, I think it looks just great, both the pictures and the emulsion.

I tried once an fp100c emulsion and yes, it´s much harder to manipulate than a Polaroid emulsion. Let´s see if you combination of hair wax and water endures  8)

Great shots everyone. As always! Another late one from me. This one is from one of my experiments from last year where I mounted the lens of a Diana F+ as a close-up filter on my 50mm (shot on Kodak Ektar).
