Built in the mouth of the River Orwell at Felixstowe,to guard the port of Harwich. The first fortifications were built in 1540.
In 1667 the Dutch landed a force of 1500 men to assault the fort, but were repulsed by Captain Nathaniel Darrell and his garrison of 400 musketeers.
A new fort battery was built in 1717 and numerous other improvements were made over subsequent years.
The fort was in use during WWII.
Pix taken with Ikoflex 1a on HP5 developed in Ilford Ilfotech LC29.

Excellent series. But it has one major flaw. Too short.
Website of sorts, as well as ipernity thing.

Yes I am.After turning them into digital files I'm then treating them as single shot HDR's with three exposures and working in Photomatix, finishing off in Lightroom.

I thought I saw the tell-tale signs of HDR.
