It would actually be nice to find a purpose for G+
My thoughts entirely when I joined up. I couldn't find a reason in the end, so I quit. I think that annoys me most about social networks is other people
...and that really does limit my desire to get involved in them like I used to a few years ago.
I have found, however that's it's almost impossible to be in a band or make music without needing Facebook for booking gigs, arranging recording sessions, sorting out artwork and just generally schmoozing, so I have returned to that particular virtual Hellhole in a music-only capacity. I suppose it might make sense to try Google+ in a photo-only capacity??
The main reason I don't think I will however is because I already
have an online community where I discuss photography....it's called Filmwasters. I guess on Google+ or whatever, there are no restrictions around digital photography and there will be a far wider user base/audience, but my concern is that anything interesting that you're discussing about trad photography on Google+....is one less interesting topic being discussed here.
