Took a drive down to Ajo with a friend yesterday...shot a couple packs of Polaroid and have 4 rolls of 120 color to develop!

Took the Holga over The Minch for the day and met an old pal [and his partner and her dog Ginny ]on the mainland at Ullapool. Then I snapped up Carolyn and Ginty today. Hp5/ Rodinal

Hi,

mine are "years ago" images too. Developed this film last week - exposed 6 years ago somewhere in a church in Rome. Film is an Agfacolor XRG 200. Can't remember the camera (maybe my Yashica electro CC)

Developed a couple rolls of Rollei 200 today. Overall disappointed with the film. I can deal with the higher grain, but it was almost like it was expired. Some shots were so dull and discolored they were uncorrectable, while others seems pretty decent. And the ends of both rolls were red from leaks, but my camera doesn't leak and the rolls seemed tight. Just overall not very good film, and not worth the $10 a roll! I don't much like Rollei Retro BW film either.

Haven't posted much for a few weeks but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying some of the wonderful images that have been posted.

These two were taken on a recent trip up to the North East Coast of the UK back in March.

These are beautiful Paul... the range of greys in these shots is something I can't never achieve in my pictures when using Fuji Across... I oftem end up with really contrasty negs, what's your recipe?

3 different/same images of a bike and hike weekend in Belgium. nr 1 scan from expired Kodak elite chrome film, nr 2 the print of that film on Polaroid Chocolate in a Daylab and nr 3 the scan of the negative of that print. I like nr 3 the most because it comes the closest to the look and feeling of my bike, dirty......

Thanks Mauricio. I always scan my negs as RGB positives which gets every last bit of detail out of the neg. I then invert them, change to greyscale and just use curves in PS to increase contrast, sometimes locally using quickmask. The biggest chore is spotting the dust out!

The first times I tried Acros I hated it, but then realised it was just my dev overconning it. Ilford DDX, TMax, or Rodinal I decrease the recommended dev time by 15%. Works for me.

I joined up with a local life drawing class to try the new 4x5 Surveyor in a studio setting. Not my usual lighting, but it was possible to adapt with a couple of flash guns, or use the ambient daylight bulb.

Surveyor with 150/6.8, Era in Rodinal. A couple of less safe others on Flickr/Tumblr.

I'll try that Paul, I normally scan in colour as well but as negative instead positve.

I think that my negs are too contrasty... what developer do you use? I've been using Rodinal and Fuji Across for a long time...

Another fantastic weekend thread. My favourites thus far are Paul Mitchell's photos of the North East and Magnus' and Britt's blurry beauties.

My own were taken a few months apart. The Swaledale fields and barns was taken on a trip to North Yorkshire where we met up with Graham (Wensleydale Blue) on a bitterly cold and snowy Sunday - before having a nice roast lunch. The other two were taken last weekend when Lara and I ventured back to the Ridgeway and had a closer look at the Uffington White Horse and Wayland Smithy.

All taken using Hasselblad 500c/m. Mono is expired Fomapan 200 and the colour is Fuji Velvia 100.

Better late then never. Ive been wasting less film as ive been relaxing and kickin it a little more often. My wallet is liking it!

Heres a couple of my faves from last weekend. Ive learned my lesson though. I overagitated this roll. I feel real dumb about it. Focus was all a little soft too. My chi must have been off. I wish it was off on a less important roll of film though... This was shot on Agfa APX 100!! DOH! Anyways on to the goods.

If it wasn't that I get queasy just looking at the medical books I saw a girl read on the metro, that would definitely be the best way to get work!
