Monochrome chapters
« on: March 27, 2007, 10:44:04 PM »
For the mono-maniacs among us, I just found that a site offers a few chapters from the book Way Beyond Monochrome for free!
I used google to find the PDF documents... so the link will point to my long search string so you can find them all without having to search through the site (http://www.darkroomagic.com/)

Darkroom Magic Way Beyond Monochrome

enjoy!  :)

If anyone would like Way Beyond Monochrome I would be happy to send it to you in exchange for:
1. A small payment to a charity named by me, say £5-£10 GBP equivalent
2. Postage cost (likely to be a few quid as it's quite heavy)
I bought it new from Amazon last year and it's in great condition. It's just too technical for me. I've got Steve McLeod's Master Printer book which is just about right.
Anyone else got any favourite technical/resource books they'd like to share/critique?

One of my favourites is :

Creative Elements: Landscape Photography - Darkroom Techniques  Eddie Ephraums
Its  very useful for both technical bits and has a good portfolio of landscape images for inspiration.
Another fine book by the same author is 'Whats missing'  where he discusses image making with photographers from the Trevellion agency.
