This is copied from www.apug.org

"ILFORD Photo / HARMAN technology are pleased to announce a second factory tour at Mobberley, CHESHIRE, UK. Our proposed date ( subject to confirmation ) will be on friday June 15th : The tour will comprise all areas of the plant from R&D, emulsion making, coating and finishing to quality control and an opportunity to meet with the specialists involved in those areas.

For those interested, we have once again made it on a friday, so that people can go on and visit some of the local area and make a long weekend of it, we are very close to the English Lake District or the Peak district, both national parks, or for Beetles fans, we are less than an hour away from Liverpool, European city of culture 2008. I remind you we are less than 30 minutes from Manchester International Airport.

We hope you you will take up the invitation to visit with us and see how the products are designed, manufactured and tested.

We will have a maximum of 50 places, I will monitor the response, and if numbers look OK I will post how to book your place etc.

You'll need to sign up to this over at apug - http://www.apug.org/forums/forum37/37359-ilford-factory-tour-june-15th-2007-a.html

I went on last years and it was brilliant - I'm hoping to go again, depending on whether numbers fill up with people who havent been before.  People from south east England, I'll probably drive up for the day so I'm happy to have passengers on board.

Well worth the time to go and see this place. You will be made very welcome and be amazed on how this film/paper is made and packed not to forget, tested before it's sent out. I went last year with an intrepid bunch from APUG and it was brill. Even met a few people whom I had only known by name before. And yes, someone came from abroad to the day!
