Hello from germany!
« on: March 21, 2012, 11:45:07 AM »
I just want to say hello to other filmwasters. :)
This is my third year shooting film and last year i sold my Nikon D3, going only with film. And it makes me very happy.

From time to time i build up my darkroom and print some photos.
Next step is to build a fixed darkroom in my house to use it more often.

I first tried lith printing and this is the look i want to archive. i love it and i can´t wait to make some more.

As an example, here is the print:

The World In My Hands - Lith Print von Jochen Abitz auf Flickr

Very interesting forum and my source for the next time!

Hi Jochen! Great to have you here. I love the strong look of the print that you've attached. I'd say that you and lith printing have a very happy future together  ;D I checked your Flickr stream too and it looks like you work almost exclusively with models....Is this client work (i.e. paid)? The reason I ask is because you don't shoot digitally anymore and I'm interested anytime I hear of a pro/commercial photographer who's 100% analogue.

Either way, wilkommen bei Filmwasters.

Thank you!

Ed, i am a hobby photographer. But if there would be a client who wants my style i would not hesitate to use film. Because this is what the client wants in this case. And both were happy. :)
But some photos are for the models book and i take the photos for the agency. It works.

Danke. :)

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I found you while crawling the web for darkroom informations and the name was funny. :)
One thing: On my AppleTV i found out that filmwasters had Podcasts - but they didn´t working. So sad. ;)
I do nearly all with my ipad and i know that flashstuff is not good for me...

Did you try getting them here http://filmwasters.com/podcast/

We have them as M4V files that can be downloaded.
