I was looking through the ads and saw this post which grabbed my attention.
The price is for a single roll of Kodak Gold... must be getting extremely rare out in the country

I'm pretty stunned at what people will try to sell film for. On eBay, a search for "expired 120 film" seems to be translated into "120 film costing twice as much as you'd pay if it was new which has HOLGA DIANA LOMO in the title".

then again, all the walgreens in my area no longer sell film   it's sad to see everything go up in price and local availability go down. i went and bought the last 8 rolls of walgreens 400 speed for $20 since it's supposedly just re badged agfa.

Im in Australia, retail prices here are just ludicrous! We have one huge photo retailer here called Vanbar, they sell pretty much everything photographic. its the only place you can really purchase BW film and chems in Melbourne, Victoria at least! Ok so...i put up an order on adorama for 80 rolls of 120 film (20xTrix,20xdelta,20xhp5+,20xFuji) the total WITH shipping to me form the US was around $450USD, which is $432AUD. i racked up the same bunch of film using Vanbars prices, and with PICK UP it was $780AUD!!!!
Ebay is out of the question as its only a little bit cheaper than vanbar. However i do regularly pick up expired lots form ebay for 1/4 retail price and i have yet to be disappointed! i have a fridge full of 35mm 100ft spools!

My sister-in-law just came back from 3 weeks in Australia and was telling me about how expensive it's gotten for us Brits....and how it's even worse for Americans. Your import from Adorama makes sense given the exchange rate and high cost of living in Australia. But it IS mental isn't it?

I have been slowly stocking up on expired film over the last few years from a couple of regular expired film sellers on the auction site.   I have been noticing that their >2-3 years expired stock have slowly gone away, and their prices on more recently expired films have gone up quite a bit.I'm guessing this is due to demand, which is actually not a bad thing for film, I guess. 

I also have a  suspicion that there are many out there who hoarded film, just because.  They are probably like my neighbors who go wait in line all night after Thanksgiving just so they can buy a Dymo tape thingie on the cheap.  They will wake up some day (soon, I hope) and realize they are never going to use up all that film, and start dumping them.....

Just came from my local Fuji lab and he said he's just recieved a letter from Fuji saying that all their films are going up by 16% very soon :((
I guess we've a couple of weeks to stock up if we can.

Same here. I know the price of gas is nothing compared to Europe but with the distances we have to drive and my anything but a miser caravan, it's not always obvious. I think this summer I'll take out my bike more often.
